Mosman Property 2020 – The Year Of Luxury Home Sales

Firstly, congratulations on surviving a very tumultuous year! Although 2020 was certainly filled with hardships, there were glimmers of positivity as well. Covid made us appreciate the beauty of small things. Many times during our first lockdown I found myself incredibly grateful to live in Mosman with our lush green spaces, the national forest and beautiful beaches.

So the importance of my home environment became abundantly clear during this time. While inside the home, the home office is the must have room / space of 2020. Outside of the home, the suburb we live in and its sense of community has taken on much greater importance. Can we walk to amenities and greenery? If all we’re allowed to do is go out to exercise, do we have a nice local environment in which to walk/run? Are our neighbours friendly and open to a chat over the back fence if that is all the contact we’re permitted?

This may be one of the reasons that Mosman high-end homes have been steadily selling throughout 2020. My November Mosman property post discussed how Mosman luxury home sales were heating up and looked at the number of luxury homes still for sale. At the very end of the year, we’ve had a flurry of Mosman trophy home sales. December saw the sale of 8 Burran Ave, Mosman rumoured to be ~$22m, 19 Prince Albert St, Mosman, rumoured to have sold for $17.8m and 13 Thompson St, Mosman sold off-market and price undisclosed. The end of November also saw the sale of 1 Pretoria Ave, Mosman, which sold quickly in its second marketing campaign.

2021 promises more properties on the market and plenty of willing buyers.

Premier Home Finders Buyers Agents will be hard at work again early in 2021 so feel free to reach out.

Wishing you and your family a very safe and happy holiday season.
