06 Sep The Power of Presentation When Selling A Property
As a buyer’s agent I look at properties every day and it may surprise you but I love it when a property is cluttered, grubby, ideally painted a strange colour and generally not looking good. The reason being is that it does negatively affect the sale price. A lot of people can’t see through the clutter. They fall in love with clean, white interiors along with most of the other buyers inspecting the property. And this inevitably drives up the sale price.
A recent example of great presentation helping the sale price was this two bedroom art deco apartment in Mosman that sold prior to auction for well above it’s price guide: Art Deco 2 bed apt
On the other end of the price spectrum, this luxury three-bedroom apartment was immaculate and was also snaffled up: The George, Mosman
So if you are selling, it is worthwhile investing in painting and perhaps styling as you will see the return on your investment. However major renovation is another topic and not something that I recommend before selling but that is a topic for another blog post.
